Does anyone know someone who's gay?

A friend just lost a son (in his 30's) and people are talking about how he was depressed, part of the reason being because he was gay and struggling with it!! That breaks my heart! You are who you are and God loves EVERYONE!!! Why do people have such a huge problem with someone who's gay?? Why do people get ridiculed sooo much for being who they are?? I have NO problem with someone being gay, just frustrated about hearing people get ridiculed and pestered about it... just needed to vent a little!! Does anyone know someone who's gay?? Do you have a prob with them being gay??? If so, WHY???

I know lots of gay people. They're normal people just like anyone else, some of them are assholes and some of them are wonderful people.

I have no issue with anyone being gay! It's sad that people can't be themselves in fear of what others think!

I have tons of friends who are gay. And nope, it doesnt bother me one bit =]

Want to laugh? I had a "gay" friend. He's my best friend. We would go skinny dipping together and he'd seen me change and whatever. Turns out, he wasn't gay!! I just ASSumed he was, when in reality he was totally straight and into me. Weird!! LOL But we're still best buddies, I just know not to change in front of him!

I know a lot of people who are gay.

It's hard to be your true self when people automatically assume you are a pervert. But then again, you have to realise that those who think that are small minded people.

My cousin is gay. And I have worked with gay people they are all great people. I do not understand peoples ignorence my self.

My Mom is gay. In fact she has been with her SO (my stepmother) for 16 years. If it wasn't for my stepmom I prob wouldn't have my Mom in my life. For that I will always be grateful. My stepchildren call them Granny Shelgh and Granny Trina. That is how involved she is in my life.

Yes I do. There is a gay male couple living in one of our apartments. These guys are very nice people, they bother noone, and seem happy to me. I have no problem with it, it's their lives.

I've known lots of gay/bisexual people. I don't care at all about anyone else's sexual orientation.
