So hubby and I were planning on taking our odest son to the theaters this weekend for the first time until last night when he came down with a fever. I took him to the doctors today and all that is wrong a an ear infection.

My DD usually felt better after her first day on the meds. See how he feels and go from there.
Depends. How old is he? I would say it would be wrong if he was an infant that was in pain and crying. I would say that it would also be wrong if he was uncomfortable and in pain at any age. If he is, let him stay home and rest. No one likes to be out in public when they don't feel well especially if they are expected to sit quietly in a theatre chair for an hour or two.

My daughter didn't want to do anything but lay on the couch with her ear infection. She's just now finishing up her antibiotic. I would let him rest and get a full day of antibiotic in first.

Ear infections hurt something fierce. I highly doubt he would want to sit in a loud theater. Wait until hes better than take him.
Agreed.
he will be 4 in december. While we were out at the doctors and getting his meds at wal-mart he kept telling people I still do feel good. I am thinking we are still going to wait until he is a little better. He is saying his throat hurts but the doc says that all is wrong is an ear infection. I am pretty sure hubby will agree with me to wait for another time. Thank you ladies
