My dd's school sent home a permission slip last week and I circled no. She came home today and told me the squirted something up her nose. I cannot get a hold of the school right now.
I am taking her to school tomorrow and talking to them(couldn't get there in time today). I am also going to contact the local news and paper so that people know what happened. So far she seems to be doing fine. I told her this morning that she will not be getting this vax and told her to tell them this if they tried to give it to her. She said she told one of the teachers but they didn't listen. They told my DD that this will keep her from getting sick. She also told me she didn't like the way it tasted and burned her nose.
Will update again tomorrow after I talk to them.
Today I took her to school and asked the Principal if Paige got the vax and he said yes. I told him she wasn't supposed to. I asked who was responsible for looking at the forms and he said many different people did. I asked for a copy of the permission slip. They didn't have it the Health Dept. does and they are supposed to be sending me a copy. I also am supposed to be getting a paper today with info saying my DD received the shot. The school nurse was not there so I did not talk to her. The Health Dept. called me back later and apologized and told me it was a safe vax. If she has any reactions take her to the dr.
My DH called a couple lawyers today but we were not able to get a hold of anyone yet. I am wanting people to know this is happening. I have heard of it happening in New York also. I used to think parents were being paranoid about this vax, but not anymore.
I'm all for the vax - but that is just wrong! I'd go right up there.
Oh hell no!
