apartments/homes in san diego.................bump***edited***
I am in need of some help. I'm moving w/ my man & our kids in Jan. 2010, i am so excited! I have looked online on craigslist, the San Diego newspaper site and a few others for some places, i do not want to spend more than $900 on a place, if u live there or have in the past and know of places to go post it for me and I'll look into it:) please bump!
EDIT!
OK, to all that replied, thank u for your input, i am surprised that so many say it is expensive and i can only get a studio or 1 br w/ $900 a month, i made some calls around today, and i had an app. faxed to me for an apartment in Oceanside for $870 and only $500 deposit. i should have been more specific that i need a place in or around San Diego when i posted this last night. anywho thanx 4 your mommas input!

San Diego is expensive. That's my DH's hometown and my in-laws and DH's grandparents live there. You won't find anything decent close to downtown for $900 unless you get like a studio apartment in a bad section of town. If you go out further into East County, you could find something probably like in La Mesa or El Cajon. My in-laws live in Chula Vista. It's a nice area but they own their home. Their mortgage is like $3000 a month for a small 3 bedroom, 2 bath home so you can imagine what the rents are like. His grandparents live in Point Loma which is super expensive. Their home is worth over a million dollars.

I lived in san diego back in 05 and paid over 1300 for a 2 bd...its crazy expensive there. I know some of my friends found places in imperial beach that were reasonable. But if you want it in a decent area its going to cost more. check closer to the border they tend to be cheaper but you'll here helicopters and border patrol alot lol
ps - san diego is my favorite city in the world, if i ever want to move san jose i will move there. my sister lives there. if you can get past the prices, you will love it. theres a helll of alot to do, and alot for kids.
I live in San Diego and if you look hard enough. You can find something within your price range. But I mean you gotta look and look deep. Like you have to get the newspaper and drive around town. What area are you looking at specifically? Maybe I can help you out.

When we were in San Diego we lived in a 3 bedroom townhome (1700 sq feet & 2 car garage) and we paid $1750 a month. It was expensive, but really nice. They had just remodeled the whole place!

i have a mortage on a 1 bedroom condo that cost over 1400 a month....before we bought, we rented in a decent area of Chula Vista and still paid over 1000 a month for a one bedroom. What part of San Diego are you looking into go to. Where is the job(s) located? if you want a 2-3bedroom your going to have to up your budget.
