Periods......help! maybe TMI

Since I had my tubes tied a couple of years ago my periods have become progressively worse.  I've been to two docs.  My first doc completely dismissed the hysterectomy idea and didn't really suggest anything else.  The second doc put my on the pill but I ended up having my period for two months straight.  She then switched me to another one....it was good for the first 3 months but then again I started spotting for 2 weeks straight.  She did say tha ta hysterctomy was my only other option but because of where I live she couldn't send me to the hospital that does it.  So I decided to go off of my birth control  and was fine for a whole month. Today was my first day and I bled through my tampon after 4 hours and I'm in excruciating pain.  It usually lasts seven day with me and sometimes I feel faint.  I'm worried that I'm losing too much blood.  Has anyone had a similar experience?  Any suggestions?

sorry but I never had anything like that. When I got off the depo shots, it took over a year and a half for my period to become normal. I had times where I would bled through super tampons ... then went about 3  months without anything. My doctor said it was my hormones trying to adjust. Good luck and maybe get another doctor's opinion.

thanks for the replies.    My period has never been regular ever.   before I had my daughter I was on the pill and it was fine didn't use anything until after all these problems started  after my tubes were tied and so far nothing has worked. I do think it's my hormones because of my mood swings.

I'm sorry. I am having the opposite problem. Since I hd my last baby by c-section 11 months ago I have had one period and some spotting here and there. I feel like I am totally out of wack. 2 doctors have done some blood work and then dismissed all my symptoms.  Good luck hope you find some answers

Don't you just love how they dismiss your symptoms just like that.  Thanks....I hope things get better for you too.
