He was eating out of the trash!

So last night I threw away some week old red velvet cupcakes, they were dry and no one was eating them, so I tossed them. So about 10 minutes later, while I am washing dishes I turn around to see why my 14 month old son is being so quiet, usually he is busy getting into the pot and pan cabinet. He is sitting on the floor eating one of the cupcakes from the trash! Whats worse is after I took it away from him he not only threw a fit, but got up and tried to get another one out of there! He was eating from the trash can, like a little bum! Now let me be clear I do NOT starve my child he is very well fed, heck he is still even breastfeed, so he is not starving. However after last night you'd think so lol. I am hopng other kids eat gross stuff too, so what is the grossest thing your child has ever eaten?

OMG I am so glad mine is not the first to eat something out of the trash like that *barf*. He is so funny that kid he will even hide food in his toys, and go back for it later, and like the floor he would literally rather eat his goldfish off the floor instead of his snack bowl, I dont get it.

lol... i think he probably just wanted a cupcake and seized the opportunity.  my son has attempted to eat something off the ground.  i'm not sure what it was, since prying it out of his hand resulted in it being crushed.  he will also try to pick through the trash, which grosses me out.

My ds ate a live spider.  Well he tried to but by the time I got it out of his mouth it was dead.

My 15 month old was eating an apple and decided to hide it in this tunnel he has in his room and go back for it the next day...ewww! And they have also taken things out of the trash.

O and one day my 2 year old was playing with his buddie (also 2) and I look over to see them going back and forth licking a sucker..I was proud of them for sharing but I could have done without them sharing the germs lol

Oh gross lol! See I hate spiders that would freak me the heck out!

BTW ladies you have no idea how relived I am that its pretty normal for kids to do that. See my DD NEVER ate anything gross like that, but my son is constantly eating weird crap that he finds, and I don't know from where! But the trash can last night now that one just took the cake, literally lol.
