It's The Working Middle Class Kids That Get Screwed EDIT IN RED
First off this is not a PA bashing post. I tried to take my very sick 15 month old and my 5 year old to the doctor yesterday. They told me they wouldn't see them because their insurance had been cancelled. No one notified me of this. So I called my hubby's union to find out what happened and they said because of his lay off for 7 months, now that he is back to work he didn't have enough hours in his bank for this quarter's insurance. So now my 5 kids are uninsured until February. Because we are working middle class we don't qualify for help with insurance. So I pay enough in taxes to pay for other people's kids to have insurance, but I can't afford to insure my own kids. This just isn't fair. Working middle class kid's parents can't afford to send them to preschool, or college, or afford to pay for sports and they make too much to have someone else pay for all of this stuff. So in the long run they are the ones that are screwed.
I took my baby that the doctor refused to see to the ER last night and she was admitted to the hospital. Now the doctor has to see her. I can't wait to tell her how I feel. We are facing a very large hospital bill now.

Yeah, in a way I agree with you.
Same here in a way

I agree with you 100%. We are working middle class and we don't qualify for anything and it does get rough sometimes. It is the working middle class that keeps this country in tax money.

It is ridiculous. My DH has been laid off for 7 months and our insurance was cancelled 4 DAYS after the DAY he was laid off. My kids do qualify for medicaid though. Have you tried FAMIS? They might have it available in your state which I am sure they do.
