A few months ago DH and I took advantage of cash for clunkers to get him a more efficient car for his 45 minute work commute. (Went from 16 mpg to 39 mpg WHOO-HOO!!!!)
Since it was to be just his work car, we got the basic package....meaning no power windows or locks. The kids very rarely ride in it, but today I drove it with my kids. My oldest DD (8 years old today!! Happy b-day baby!!) points and says "Hey mom, what's this for?"
She was pointing at the manual window lever. LMAO!!!! I remember when I was about her age.....my dad had bought a car with power windows, and I thought it was the coolest thing EVER!!!
What have your kids said or done to make you feel old?

well, not something my kids said, but i used to baby sit a lot and once told a kid they could put a movie in the vcr....... all i got was blank stare til i realized what id said. lol
Hahaha...that happened to me too, only with my DD. We bought her a TV VCR combo a few years back, cause grandma bought her a bunch of tapes at a garage sale. She was like...."what's a tape?"
Quoting sunfreezeinmi:well, not something my kids said, but i used to baby sit a lot and once told a kid they could put a movie in the vcr....... all i got was blank stare til i realized what id said. lol

That is funny. My children know what both are and look like.My MIL has a manual car window handle in her car and my husband has a automatic car window button. My car has a manual car window handle too.
My dad always has had trucks that have had manual window handles in them. When my mother got a new car it had the button that you push to open the window.I thought that it was awesome.Until I realised that when the car was turned off I couldn't roll the window down anymore. Then I was over it.lol!!That was years ago too.
