How do you feel about your MIL?

I see posts on here all the time of moms complaining about their MIL and how much they can't stand them.... it just doesn't make much sense to me. After all, that IS the woman who raised the person YOU fell in love with?? So, how many of you are just bitching and how many truly can't stand their MIL???

my "MIL" is an absolute freakin kook lol.

no seriously.

Hubby cant stand her either and I dont blame him.

She reminds me of one of the crazy ladys on COPS lol

BTW my hubby was legally emancipated at 15 and lived with a family friend while he was in highschool before he went to college, his dad is just as bad too...

Honestly it depends on the day and the situation.  She isn't a horrible person, but she and I are so very different, and she drives me nuts (and both my SIL nuts as well).

My husbands mother did not raise him. She was an alcoholic who let him and his brother raise each other when their aunt/uncle werent available to do the job. To answer the question no I truly dont like her.

Love her :) She has always treated me like a member of the family, from the day hubby introduced me to his parents. I'll never forget on mine and hubby's wedding day, when we were taking pictures after the ceremony, she hugged me and said "I have two daughters now." I don't know what I would do without her!

she drives me nuts.  If it wasn't for my fil I don't think my dh would have made it.  The woman tried to give my 9 month old broccoli uncooked.  She watched him eat a crayon and suck on a marker which she gave him both.  She does this stuff all the time.  She also only thinks about herself.  She constantly complains that her mom is so slow and it takes them all day to do their shopping.  The woman is 82 and she shouldn't be driving but she has no choice my mil never learned.  She expects everyone else to take care of her.  She has no respect for her mom at all.
