  • Its sad that she is more concerned about the money than the health and well being of her granddaughter. She will get over it.

  • My DD is 4.. If i see the shoes off the doll they get thrown out. Usually i super glue barbies shoes to barbies toosies. She will get over it, they would have been lost in .10 seconds anyway.

  • pshhh... I'd throw 'em away too.  Tell her if she bought something age appropriate you wouldn't have to throw 'em out.

  • I would have done the same thing. Just let her know to pay attention to age groups on the toys from now on.

  • First off, your daughter is a little doll.

You did what was safe for your daughter and if she doesn't like it then that is just tough.

    Good luck.

  • Only a MIL... I have a bunch of barbie shoes and other barbie accessories in our junk drawer.. I don't throw them out because they will eventually be able to have all of the little pieces

  • My MIL would buy barbie or kelly for my daughter was very small, like 18 months. I just told her that I took the shoes or other tiny parts and put them up for when she would older. Then I would secretly want to jab my MIL's eyes out every time I had to change their clothes a million times in a day.

  • You could have just taken them away from her didn't need to throw them away.   I took all the shoes from my daughters barbie dolls I just recently gave them back to her since she doesn't put things in her mouth anymore.

  • It's her fault, it says on the package 3+!  But I personally would have kept it and put it away until she was older.
