Hi Ladies...quick question. My best friend is getting married tomorrow and I'm her Matron of Honor....am I supposed to make a speech or something??? I've only been a bridesmaid before and have never had to say a speech. So is it necessary??? Or is it only the Best Man that has to? Let me know please!!! I really don't want to...I'm a very very shy person.
Thanks,
Stephanie
I personally have never been to a wedding where the MOH gives a speech but I dont see why you cant if you want to. I know you say your shy so you probably dont want to, but it would be a nice jester to your BFF.

Its traditional for the maid of honor to give a speech when the best man gives his speech.. so I suppose that would go for a matron of honor as well. Good Luck!
..You might want to ask the bride what she has planned for you..
thanks ladies! I think I will just write something down just in case....I'll be even more embarassed if I don't have anything prepared. lol.
My Matron of Honor gave a speech at my wedding, but it was her choice.
