Gun owners... look what's on the 2010 tax return
VERIFIED – TRUE by snopes.com
http://www..snopes.com/politics/guns/blairholt.asp
As if we didn't have enough to get upset about! If you have a gun, I hope it isn't registered!
It begins... more Freedom gone... the right to protect yourself and your family gone! Now ALL GUNS must be listed on your next (2010) tax return!
Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own.
It will require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun.
This bill was introduced on February 24, 2009, by the Obama staff. BUT, this bill will only become public knowledge 30 days after the new law becomes effective! This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act of 1986. This means that the Finance Committee has passed this without the Senate voting on it at all. Trust Obama? You must be kidding!
The full text of the IRS amendment is on the U.S. Senate homepage: http://www..senate.gov/. You can find the bill by doing a search by the bill number, SB-2099. You know who to call; I strongly suggest you do. Please send a copy of this e-mail to every gun owner you know.
Text of H.R.45 as Introduced in House: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009: www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h45/text
Obama's Congress is now starting on the firearms confiscation bill. If it passes, gun owners will become criminals if you don't fully comply.
It has begun.... Whatever Obama's "Secret Master Plan" is... this is just the 'tip of the iceberg!'
Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House. This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009.
Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because the government is trying to fly it under the radar as a 'minor' IRS revision, and, as usual, the 'political' lawmakers did not read this bill before signing and approving it!
To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Goggle HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information.
Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless: 1) It is registered 2) You are fingerprinted 3) You supply a current Driver's License 4) You supply your Social Security number 5) You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing
Each update change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25. Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail.
There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18. They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 years in prison.
If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take your pick of many options to read this. It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are becoming aware of this. Pass the word along. Any hunters in your family pass this along.
This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it.
This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not..
Ok, the tax is a little much but as far as the rest of it, they want to make sure crazy people don't have guns and they're actually going to enforce children's safety in a home with a fire arm and you find something terribly wrong with this?
I did not say I found something wrong with it did I? No I didn't. What do I think I think that the whole government is turning this country into a joke. As for checking people out they were suppose to be doing that anyway. Americans need a permit and if they have a criminal background they could not get a gun...I was fine with that but to take people that have common sence and test them is stupid. There will always be guns on the streets and they cannot change that. In my opinion this is the price that we pay for being an American. Oh and I think before the people get tested or go through the mental crap that every single person in our government should be tested as well..because we all know that this country is ran by dumbasses.
As true as that may be, a person can act and look perfectly normal and deep down be a psychopathic murderer. They don't require psych evaluations at the moment to own a gun. If you've ever had issues in the past then they do. But for all I know, my perfectly normal looking neighbor who has never seen a shrink before could be a crazy person. I understand that aspect. I don't see anything wrong with that. And things change. Say DH were to get a gun. He passes the psych eval. 2 months later, we get a divorce. I would want someone running another psych eval on him to make sure he was stable in the head. THat I understand. And you're right. We all know this country is ran by BLIND dumbasses. Dick Cheney proved that one for all of us. LOL. Do I agree with them being able to just walk into your home? No. But I also understand that there are some people that would keep their guns out in the open unless they knew they were having an inspection of their home. I guess I see both sides. If you really want to freak out about something though, how do we know there's not a government official standing in every single house, considering the government invented invisibility cloaks?

Gun laws are stupid. 95% of crimes committed with a firearm are unregistered firearms. Making laws stop nothing guns will still be sold and traded on the black market.
More people will just buy firearms the illegal way and not register them.
Tis true. Guns never should have been invented. Actually, there are quite a few things that never should have been invented. Why can't we just go back to the good ole days where if you hated someone, you screamed they were a whore and everyone followed in suit to stone them. LOL. J/k. I'm trying to make a joke out of this. We don't have any guns in our house, so I'm not too worried about this new law. I just wish things were simpler. George Washington is probably turning in his grave right now.

Um, the possibility of this bill passing is nil...even the link to the Snopes article says that. Rep. Bobby Rush can't even get someone to co-sponsor the damn thing! There is also nothing in the proposed bill that says anything about a physical or mental evaluation. As well, the NRA website is pretty much treating it as a non-issue...maybe a slight overreaction?
I don't own weapons. I was raised with guns in the house, and I'm a VERY vocal supporter of the peoples' right to bear arms. Just another way someone is trying to play the 'Obama is Evil' card, IMHO.
So does that mean that the government will be doing random inspections of known criminals' (i.e.: people who have been arrested and done time for gun related crimes) houses as well? It's only fair...
I'm sorry, but I carry because I CAN. Because I am not a criminal. Because there are people in my home worth protecting. Because I was responsible enough to take classes about gun safety and control.
Until they figure out a way to keep unregistered, illegal guns out of the hands of criminals, I will carry mine. George Washington wouldn't be the only one turning in his grave... Mr. Charleton Heston probably is too.
well it's a sure fire way to encourage illegal gun sales now isn't it?
because... i'm not registering or "filing" shit in regards to what i own in this house.
and... let them come and try to make me...
cause i'm armed.
