i totally read that wrong at first and thought you purchased a puppy to potty train your DD...yeah.

when the puppy goes put its face in it and smack it on the head and take it out every half hour. worked for ours in 3 weeks.

is your yard not fenced? I love having a fenced yard for that reason, just let the dog out and stay inside where it's warm! lol My dogs usually trained quick.

i hate potty training puppies too! i will say that putting their face in it and smacking them on the head does NOT work. if it was warmer there i would tell you to leave a door cracked if you could. a puppy i had a year ago wouldn't always go when i took her outside, so i finally cracked my sliding glass door and let her go out when she needed to go. it was so much easier! i feel your pain, though... are you having to get up in the middle of the night to take the puppy? i had to and it SUCKED. especially when you're pregnant and not sleeping well anyway! lol
