Our youngest son is in the NICU. He is 10 weeks 5 days old and was born at 23 weeks 4 days and only wieghed 1lb 11oz. My hubby went to see him before work today and got to hold him for the first time. He was always too scared to hold him before. He's in an open crib now and weighs 5lbs 3oz so he was a little less scared lol. I will post pics when he gets home from work in the morning, but for now here is a pic from when he was born and one taken a few days ago.

Landyn Mitchell @ 1 day old

Landyn Mitchell Zagorski @ 10 weeks

HERES SOME PICS OF DADDY AND LANDYN LAST NITE...

Our twin identical boys were born August 24, 2009. Leeland Matthew was born at 6:54pm weighing 1lb, 6 oz. He fought for his life for 5 hours, but was too little to keep fighting. He passed away at 11:59pm the same night he was born. Landyn was born at 6:55pm weighing 1lb 11oz. He is fighting for his life in the NICU. He is a strong little baby and is doing very well.

This picture was taken by the NICU staff after Leeland passed away. Leeland is in the back and Landyn in the front.

  • First - I'm so sorry for the loss of your baby boy.  But what a great little fighter his brother is, and what a special day that your husband got to hold him =)

  • YAY! I'm sorry for the loss of your other baby. My friend went into labor at 5 months & her baby passed 3 weeks later. So its really nice to hear stories of survival!
