I'm Pretty sure it's not just coincidnece that every time I take my prenatal vitamin I feel like my stomach is turning inside out.. My first appointment isnt until the 24th of this month. So, my husband and I just went out and purchased the womans one a day vitamins. They come with a fish oil supplement that helps the development of eyes, and ears. I've oppted to take them in the evenings after getting home from work for fear of having to run to the nearest garabage can during my shift. I'm a retail manager and that would be quite embarrasing to have to excuse myself from a customer to hurl.. Anyways.. I'm just wondering if there is anyone else out there with the same problem. Or if there are different types of vitamins. This is my first pregnancy so I'm pretty clueless. If not I guess I'll just have to wait to ask the Doc. On the 24th! Hope all of you are doing well! = )
prenatals made me sick too. My doctor told me to take Flinstone vitamins. So thats what I did for both pregnancies.
yep i do the same thing :D

they make me sick too, and i couldnt swallow them so i got the chewable ones, they taste so bad! and they get stuck in my teeth so the taste doesnt go away no matter how many glasses of water i drink, its horrible.
Hi! I'm 50 yrs. old and I take prenatal vitamins because they are the safest vitamin you can take. It helps my nails and hair growth. If you are getting sick I would think it is probably from being pregnant. God Bless, and hope you can find an answer.
When I was pregnant with my DD they gave me terrible gas. The Dr. gave me a new prescription and I was fine.
Ive had 4 different kinds including over the counter ones. They all make me even sicker than pregnancy does. I just take a flintstone now. My doctor says its okay, at least Im taking something.
What's causing the not so lovely nausiated feeling is the iron, in the pills. In prenatal vitamin, they're usually a little higher in the amount of iron. The best thing to do is take the vitamin after or in between bites of food...the food will act as a buffer and it'll still absorb into the system

I'm not pregnant now, but yrs ago when I WAS pregnant,
yessssssssssssssss......
They made me HORRIBLY sick ! I could never take them again after that.![]()
