i have been really debating on which carseat to go wtih this time around....at first we were going to go with a convertible right away (true fit or my ride 65) so we could get more use out of it for the price....but with Bryant being due in January (in wisconsin) i figured that MIGHT not be the best idea...
i was in babies r us today and found a infant car seat that goes up to 35lbs....i dont remember the brand but i cam home and googled some of them and the have a saftey 1st brand that goes up to 35lbs (not sure the height) and they have it on their website for $129 with free shipping.
just kinda curious if this would be something worth getting possibly, or if i should just go with a regular infant carseat that goes up to 22lbs

I was checking out the infant seats that have the higher weight limits.....especially the snugride 32. All the reviews I read say they're super heavy to have to lug around, especially if you use it up to the weight limit....a heavy seat with a 32 pound baby just seemed too much for me to handle.
Missi....loving wife to Jason, mommy to Ricky (1-12-05), and soon to be mommy to Logan Douglas (due Feb 2010). I'm a cloth diapering, baby wearing, breastfeeding till baby wants to quit, homeschooling, non-circumcising, anti-cry it out, part time working, animal loving, trashy romance novel reading, farm raised hillbilly. I have had Meningitis and Swine Flu and lived to tell about it. Any questions?
yea, they also have the snug ride that goes up to 35 too...i figured if he did get that big and still fit length wise in his car seat, he could be taken out and the seat could just stay in the car....not like id always have to take it out, when my dd got to be about 20lbs i didnt even take her infant seat out anymore

I had a Graco Snugride with my son & will be getting on with my daughter this time.. It's NOT as heavy as the reviews say I'm 4'7" & I handled my son just fine.. it is a GREAT carseat & very sturdy & safe! :) Good Luck with your choice
yeap! they have 3 colors on their site...here is the most neutral one if your interested

Do they carry extra bases as well.....? I need 3 total. I think I'm still leaning towards the snugride, though....just not the 32 or 35. Unless I test them out in the store and find them to not be too heavy.

I know Graco carries extra base & if you get a craigslist.com they have them ALL the time fro like $10 & $15.. the nugride is great I would say go to the store & check them out before you decide because they arent as heavy as people make them about to me they are made out of a good plastic & are VERY safe, plus with my combo I'm STILL using my sons stroller & it looks BRAND NEW!
