We are watching a movie and a scene came up where this married man ran into a woman he hadn't seen in awhile. She was really coming onto him, sitting on his desk, and she saw pics of his kids and wife and said, "Oh, YOU'RE married?!" DH was wondering why do women react like this? I told him it could mean that she was expecting something....

  • Really, he doesn't already know these things lol?

Anyway depending on the tone that was used it can mean ton of different things. Its not always a "I wanna jump your bones" it could be pure shock. However you said she was sitting on the desk which therefore leads me to believe, it was because she was looking for something more (like you said) then just simple friendship.

  • Yeah, a lot of men don't realize how whorish women can actually be! If the woman was obviously hitting on him, then was like, OH you're married...it was probably like a big let down to her. She was probably hoping to make up for lost time. In her stupid little brain, she could also be welcoming a challenge to get with the guy. I hate women in movies...LOL!

  • Well im guessing it was like this...you know how men always say women speak a different language and they can never understand what we REALLY mean? This is what she was actually saying...(im guessing)

O so you have a wife and kids, well can you not think about them for 4 minutes while I f@ck your brains out on top of this desk? I mean really, they wont find out.

Im just guessing thats what she meant...but since I didnt see the movie I am not sure, but thats what it sounds like.

    Hope that helps!

  • Single women tend to be attracted to married men because there is a sense of security. Knowing he has a family and is able to take care and provide for them is a major thing women look for in a man.

Im not saying its ok for single women to try and take a married man. But thats what I remember learning in a class once.

  • It could mean she wanted a little sumthing sumthing... or it could mean that back when she first knew him, he didnt seem like the marrying and having kids type of guy... and she's surprised by the obvious change....

  • DH said he's actually had a few encounters like this w/ women he's never met. He said one girl he met in basic was like "oh, you're married?" and when she left she told him "goodbye, mr. married man" What do ya'll ladies think of this?

  • Yeah, that was definitely flirting.  Saying it like that is asking if he is married enough to have sex with her or not.  In your husbands case I think it was flirting.  You don't playfully call a someone "Mr. Married Man" if you aren't wanting something.  Were you watching I Think I Love My Wife?  She was definitley trying to get to him in that movie.

  •  She is testing the waters...his answer will determine her next move. He may say no she is dead, or we are getting a divorce, or yes but unhappily. Ultimately she is trying to trip him up so she can make her move, and becobe the new Mrs. or whatever.
