my son is 5 months old and has a REALLY bad cold i dont know if i should give him something so i can help him. he is super conjested and he cant breath when im feeding him. does anyone have a suggestion??
Use a bulb syringe to clear out his nose.
Turn the shower on as hot as it will go and close the bathroom door and let the bathroom steam up. (sit on the toilet or something.. not in the shower LOL)
ok thanks so much im gonna do that right now

One more thing. Check and see what the age requirement is on Baby Vicks vapor rub. If he is old enough for it, then rub some on his chest. When you lay him down, prop him up a little bit too.
I hope he gets to feeling better quickly!
As a general rule you can ALWAYS use Little Noses Saline solution and a bulb syringe. Just put a few drops in his nose and then sucker it out with the syringe. The saline solution makes the mucus thin enough for you to get out and also actually dries it out.
Also, a humidifier with vicks solution in it is great. You can fill one up when he goes to bed and it will (should) run all night.
I dont know if they still make it or not.......but when my kids were little Johnsons had a vapor bath....... like a liquid form of vicks that you put in the bath water... that worked all the time for them.
And I know that there are those shower soothers that you put in the bottom of the shower and they are supposed to release the vapors to clear you up. Those are for adults, but if you are sitting in a bathroom with just the steam, it may help.......
hope your little one feels better soon!
