I will do the sweet part of my title first. My husband went to wal mart last night, i asked him to pick me up breaking dawn since i am reading the third book right now, and sice he has cq i will be up late reading. so he comes home, he bought me the special edition one, along with roses! It was so sweet, my husband never buys me flowers!
now for my small vent we went to go look at cars yesterday morning, we have a 07 ford escape we wanted to trade in, we just arennt comfortable in it anymore, noit since the kids are getting bigger. SO we went looking around, went to kia, and saw the 2010 sorento. i loved it, it was really nice and in our price range and it came with extras. well he have them run our credit to see if we can get approved, it came back fine they said it wont be a problem, so we have them send the paperwork to the finance guy, 45 minutes later they come back and say we ca only get the car if we put 2 grand down, I told them no way, I am just a college student, and my husband is a sgt in the army, with three kids, i told them from the beginning we dont have money to put down. so we just walked away, oh also our payments would have been 588 a month we would hve been paying 42 grand for that van, no way. my husbands credits not perfect but its not bad either. so like i said we just walked away, we will probaly go to the city right before christmas or after and get a better deal.
It does seem like the price is a little much. Did you really expect to not have to put anything down? I don't think 2 grand is too much for a down payment. Even with a trade in. I dont see that they were asking too much for the down payment. Do you want a new car? If you don't like the way they do business, go somewhere else. I guess I just don't see the problem.
Just a little tip.. Buy the car before the end of the year, because ur are more likely to get a better deal, bc they have to pay taxes on all the unsold vehicles at the beginning of the year.
see we never have paid a down payment, we bought my ford escape the day after christmas in 2006, it is a 07. we didnt have to put any money down. my parents never put any money downn either. its fine we will just wait. im sure they will call monday with a better deal, they always do. oh and our intrest rate for my truck is 3.9 percent so we think they were just trying to rip us off.

yea ur right walk away and try again later... and I have bought 4 cars between me and my hubby and never put any money down! One tip tho if you wait 30 days till you start looking again then this counts as a hit on your credit and can damage it.. but you can have people run your credit as many times as you want in 30 days and it only counts as one.. hope this helps!!
good luck!!
thank you for that tip! we dont plan on looking again until the ennd if the year.
