Is it safe?

I bought ground beef, froze it, defrosted it yesterday, cooked it up and made a pasta bake dish.  We have so much leftover...is it safe to refreeze the leftovers so it doesn't go to waste?

I wouldn't refreeze the leftovers.  If it was just sauce with meat in it, then I would.  Sometimes if I have extra meat sauce leftover, I will refreeze that but not a pasta dish I've already cooked.

The pasta probably won't taste very good after freezing. I would just try to use the leftovers today or tomorrow instead.

i've refrozen cooked lasagna, chicken noodle soup, chilli etc all with no problems before. As long as it is sealed tightly you should be fine.

I would just refrigerate them.

you can freeze them I have to do it with lasagna and spagetti all the time for my grandfather so he has lunch already made for the days I am not going to be home.

Safe yes but it might not taste good.

That's not Exactly Refreezing....

since the meat is now COOKED.  When I make a a large amount I definitley freeze the leftovers.

Sometimes consistency changes and it doesn't work out as I expected....but it depends on what is in it.

I WOULD Freeze it!
