Are people who are pro-life because if the babies right to choose.. not the mothers/fathers also anti circumsision because a baby boy cannot CHOOSE to have his penis snipped? Or why is it people will say a fetus has a right to choose life but a newborn has no right to have the choice in having their body altered. Why is it okay to say a parent has a right to make a choice for the best interest of their child only after its born? Or I have seen it said MANY times that circumsision was the "best choice for our family" well why is it abortion is not governed under the same "best choice for our family" clause? Neither one is via consent of the baby. Seems to me arguing against abortion based on the fetus' inability to make the choice is pretty hypocritical unless your also anti-circumsision for the same reasons..

and yes I know people will try to say cutting a penis is not the same as ending a life and your right. BUT both the arguements boil down to a right to choose, consent, and a parents right to do what is best for their situation and family.

This is where my issue is though. You say everyone is entitled to their own thoughts and opinions yet you support removing a womans ability to act on her own thoughts and opinions. You want the right to make your choices, for example the right to cosmetically alter your children - which many do not support nore understand, but you would deny another woman the right to make her own choices that she feels are right for her and her child.

 I would think that circumcision is a health concern since he could get diseases from not being circumcised when he gets older. Abortion is murder and that's different from being circumcised.

Regardless of my opinion on either subject I think the difference is obvious.   A circumcision is a medical procedure that parents give consent for...if we are going to wait and let the child "choose" are we then going to wait and let them get their tonsils out too?
