Christmas Tree Lights

We won't be putting up our Christmas tree for quite a while, but my husband has already started with the debate over the lights. I like white, I just think it makes the tree look so elegant and beautiful, and he always wants colored. I have "won" every year that we have been together but am actually considering the multicolored lights this year, I think the kids would like that.
Which do you use?

i love white lights on the Christmas tree, but since you've gotten white lights why not let DH put on colored lights this year... Or compromise and do a little of both?

I have white lights. I like multi colored lights as well but being my ornaments are glittery sliver and blue only white lights would be able to pull that off =]

i have a cute little pink tree that my dd puts up and we put pink lights on it...
on the family tree we usually put clear or one colored lights on them

I really love the colored lights.My tree has many colorful ornaments so I think the colored lights look great.I do like white lights,they do make a tree look elegant but I'm not an elegant sort of gal lol...I do admire trees with white lights though.

yeah the white lights do make it look elegant and traditional but I actually prefer to have my multicolored lights, as a matter a fact the ones I use on my tree are motion multicolor lights lol. I love setting them to however i want them and watching them twinkle =) I say let your dh have his multicolored lights this year lol

I like white lights. I think they look beautiful on a christmas tree. I'm thinking about decorating two trees this year though, so I might do multi-colored lights on Rylie's tree.
