I am not a car seat person... but I think the graco one is super cute.. It looks snazzy.. and I LOVE my graco seat i have the same one in a different color.. Cant go wrong and you can keep your little on rf in that seat for longer!! Totally worth the extra $$$
well my dd is still rf, but she is in a convertible....but she is 2, and would have JUST gotton out of one of these seats! lol so i really think it is worth the extra money, just trying to decided on which one. the saftey first the cheapest i found was on sams club, all other want $130-$150 for that one too.

You should post this in the Car Seat Safety group, they have great advice! :)
Graco is a more reliable brand and has been Side impact testing, the safety first has not. i recommend the OnBoard for people with preemies becuase it starts at 4lbs, but for a fullterm child get the Snugride 35. I was JUST looking at them. Theres 4 patterns btw not just the one.

Even if you don't carry it around after a certain time it still saved you money and having to install a convertible from one car to another...
I don't know about you but I have found the carriers to be a waste. I have fat kids and both my kids were 20lbs at like 6 months and that was about the limit on my carrier. Plus I know your suppose to be able to carry them around and all that but even that sucked that thing was way to heavy and with a toddler it was torture on my back. I would just skip up to the marathon since both my kids were born 8lbs or bigger anyways anywho that's just another way to do it. GL with your car seat search. IT was great for me when I had no other kids but after I already had a child it was just easier to just wear the baby, and hold dd hand.

For our son we bought a baby trend car seat and stroller combo from Walmart for $110.
But I like those seats they are nice but I wouldn't spend over $100 on it because they won't use it long because they only go to around 22 lbs and 28.5 inches long. If you have a longer child then you will have to switch soon like we did. Our son is 5 months old tomorrow and he is almost 29 inches and he is 15 lbs. He is gonna be tall so we had to leave the baby seat behind and move to a convertable seat. But we found one that goes to 40 lbs and was under $60 Evenflo Tribute 5. Its a wonderful seat and our son loves it.

Marathons will NOT fit newborns, I don't care what the weight limits are the straps are too high for newborns..maybe 5 months but not newborns.

I agree.
I don't like infant carriers. My son had a top of the line one (a Chicco keyfit) and it stopped locking into its base after 2 months! This was after I had to buy it because the Graco didn't fit in my van right (not even a tech could get it installed right). We're going for a true fit this time around!
