So, tons of people drink coffee to give them energy for their day and other caffeinated beverages. Caffeine does absolutely nothing for me. It actually makes me tired. I was wondering how common this is.
So, I am putting up a poll.
I've never had a sip of coffee in my life, so I can't speak for that. However, if I have a mountain dew it gives me a little energy and wakes me up. As for any other type of soda or whatnot, I don't really feel the effects of it.
Well, right now I'm pregnant, so I haven't been drinking any coffee or caffeinated drinks for about two months (and it's been nice!)
Usually, I drink a LOT of coffee... and it doesn't really do anything to boost my energy. I found that if I didn't drink it in the morning, I'd start to get a bad headache.
After this pregnancy, I may have one cup every now and then, but I don't want to start up my coffee habit again. I feel fine without it!

I used to think it gave me energy and "fixed" my headaches. But I cut caffeine out of my diet a few months ago and it's amazing how much better I feel! I used to drink a TON of Coke every day--I loved the stuff! Now, I'm lucky if I have a soda once every 2-3 weeks!
I found out, after I cut caffeine out, that the caffeine was TRIGGERING my migraines. I would get a migraine and it would last literally, several DAYS. I would be in bed, laying around, unable to do ANYTHING b/c my head hurt SO bad. I haven't had a migraine since I cut out caffeine! And, I don't think I went through much withdrawl, so I got lucky!
I'm now pregnant and this is the first pregnancy (this is my 6th pregnancy!) that I will not have had a ton of coke and chocolate, etc. I'm really proud of myself!
Nothing that I can tell. If I'm tired and I drink it, I still feel tired. If I'm alert and I drink it, I'm still alert. I just like the taste of coffee; I don't drink sodas. :-)
