I'm really looking forward to working again after almost 5 yrs. I really need to help contribute we have debt and we also need to buy new things for the house, appliances furniture etc. Anyways so I already have my sil on board with me she will help take care of my kids. I dont know how much to pay her weekly. My son is 7 months and my other boy is 4 yrs old who will start school next year. Ok how much should I pay her.

Also we're tight on money. Since I look for office jobs I need clothes and shoes for interviews/work and the old clothes I used to wear doesn't fit me so they're not an option.  I dont want to use my credit cards to buy clothes because what if I don't get hired immediately or it takes months for me to get a job then I'll be stuck with another debt. Should I just wait until dh gets a good check at work and just pay for a items cash? Should I just use my card? I dont know i really want to plan this out well..thanks ladies!

I think that you need to buy yourself at least one nice outfit for interviews and then you can buy a new wardrobe when you finally get a job. Good luck.

i personally think its a chance u have to take... if you're confident at your job searching and interviewing abilities, then i would risk buying the clothes.. i went through this same thing about a month or 2 ago.. i had just had my baby and needed to return to work... i purchased an outfit for an interview, which i was up against 70 other ppl and only 2 positions available and i'm happy with my decision b/c i got the job... its a state job... i have a 4 month old and a 3 yr old and i've been blessed to have a sister who goes to my christian congregation to watch the both of them for only 500 a month.. whatever decision u make, i wish u the best

I say at least 200 a week for child care.

Do not charge items.  Shop smart at places like tjmaxx/ross/marshall or department store sales.  Buy classic pieces that can be worn several ways.

You should definitely discuss with your SIL about how much she thinks is fair for helping you out...and buy only one or two nice outfits for interviews, then get more when you find a job...you don't have to buy a new wardrobe right away...you can always build on it week by week, or check by check, depending on when you get paid and how much you can spare for clothing.

I think you are smart in not using your credit cards and accumulating more debt.  I also think that you should treat yourself to one nice outfit for interviews and then see how things go with that.

Good luck!

I agree with the post below for the new job youre looking to get. In regards to your SIL though, i believe that she understands whats going on, so ask her opinion of the situation, and see if you can both come up with a compromise. All in all maybe 100 bucks a week...depending on how long she will take care of them...

All in all Good Luck on your search.
