Is it supposed to be dome shaped? The center has risen up so the top is not flat...

Any tips for icing it?

if you want it level you just need to cut the top off so that it is level.

if you didn't butter/flour the pans enough you may want to try running a knife along the edge to loosen it.

Usually when I bake a cake I line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking.  I still butter/flour the pan and then put the lining in.  I know what help this time but it's a useful tip for the next cake.  :)

As for the domed top, sometimes they do that...if you want it flat you can level it off with a knife when it cools.
