Well...I went ahead and did it!

I had to put up my Christmas decorations! No, I'm  not crazy and yes, I realize that Halloween just passed, but we are going with the whole family to Disney in 15 days. We get back Dec. 1, but with heading back to work and all of the kids activities, we would not have gotten to it until at least Dec. 5-6. It seemed like way too much work for such a short time if I waited.

Of course, we are having an "Indian summer" stretch now....high of 70 degress which is so unusual for us here in Pittsburgh, PA! It seems a little strange in my house right now :)

When do you typically decorate (if you celebrate Christmas)?

Well, since holiday time is always a tense time around our house with the sk's not wanting to go visit their mother's family we start decorating after Halloween any spare minute we get, it seems to calm them down and make them feel better about going.  And quite honestly it is all about whatever makes them the happiest during the holiday times, they love the lights and I can't see anything wrong with putting up what makes them happy.

we usually dont do it until after thanksgiving but this year as soon as i get him to go in the attic I am decorating. I got lots of new deocrations last year and I cant wait.

The weekend after Thanksgiving.  I'm sooo ready and excited too :)

The first weekend of December.  I would do it the day after thanks giving but DH is kind of a scrooge.  He is on the seven year plan.  Four more to go until he is all about Christmas.
