If anyone knows, or are or have been in the medical field I need help right now.
DH had swine flu on or around OCT 28th. He recovered almost completely, with the exception of a cough that would not produce anything. (He almost sounded croup like)
I got him some Mucinex yesterday......today he comes home from work and his fever is back. Under his eyes are blue, he says he just wants to sleep.
I read somewhere that a second fever is not good....I really want him to go to the ER but he won't listen to me. I'm so worried.....please help me convince him to go. He looks horrible. I've tried to call our nurse hotline through our insurance, but for some reason it says we are not eligible for that service.
That's the problem. He won't go. He won't listen to me.

I thought one of the character symptoms of swine flu was flu like symptoms that go away and then it comes back even worse shortly after you see improvement or relief?
Not that I've heard. All I heard was the second fever was dangerous.....I think a little boy around here died from that second fever.

If he won't go to the ER, I'd at least call to see what they say. Maybe they can convince him to go. Or call your doctor's office, they have to have a doc on call that can help you. If it were me I would go behind hubby's back and call 911, and have them come and take him to the hospital.
