we are, due to financial reasons. its only gonna be me, hubbs and aiden. im really sad i cant be with my wonderful family for this holiday. i dont even want to decorate.

EDIT

i dont care about the presents, its being with our fam thats really important to me. we used to live about 5 minutes away from them and now we moved 3 hours away and its hard to get there to see them. its our first christmas without them in about 3 years.

  • Its just me and my dd this christmas. I am gonna decorate and pray she gets adopted so she can get gifts. I have only gotten her 2 things. She will understand though. Things are tough and she is older. We are going to make cookies and watch Christmas specials!

  •  say I!

We usually get a christmas bonus we wont this year ,my hub is very lucky to be emplye even, several lay offs.We barly make the bills,we are not low income so no help on anything.

I currently have the cash saved up for my boys christmas $100 ,its not going to be much.Once I have them out of the way and I can ensure Santa will visit my 3&1 yr old boys THEN Ill move down my list.My family does a gift exhange so we do not feel obligated to buy for all the adults-that really helps. And everyone else on my list will get a $10 gift.Bed bath and beyond has nice things for $10 and I recently got a 20% off cupon and a $5 cupon.

  • My kids will probably only get one little toy each and a big toy, for them both, from santa.  I'm leaving my husband at the end of this month.  I haven't worked since June 07, but I do finally have an interview on monday.  So, I know that this year christmas is going to be very tight.  I'm still going to go all out and decorate though, that way the kids don't realize how they aren't really getting anything.  Luckily they are only 4 and 2.  Last year they got a lot, I had sold all of my daughter's outgrown clothes so I was able afford a lot for them.

  • Yup us too. My husband's coming back from deployment early December so that's our Christmas present to eachother and then a few things for LIly(we worked really hard all year & FINALLY got our 3 credit cards paid off, didn't leave much in the bank. Not complaining, he's really all I want anyways!) But still it's kinda sad having a Christmas with just the 3 of us. And it will be our first EVER without snow.

  • This is a great suggestion, selling old things.Ive been soooo tempted to sell the boys old clothes but I know Im having one more child own the road and having 2 boys already the chance of having another is high so Im scared too.Have you thought about that?

I sold the kids old halloween costumes for new ones, worked great!

  • we will. My kids will each only get a couple things. I don't have much bought at all.  My hubby will be lucky if I can get him 1 or 2 things this year.  I'm not really worried though. We've been wanting to cut back on what they were getting from "santa" because they get stuff from their grandparents and at their bio dad's house (my older 2) so it will be ok for this year.
