I am by no means perfect and I have let a bad word slip here and there. But to have a normal conversation with someone and they have to say F this and F that every other minute is just riduculous. I tried to talk to her, but she doesn't listen so I guess I am losing a friend. I just seriously don't understand. Are some people's vocabulary so limited than they can't have normal conversation without 50 million cuss words?
I assume that parent's don't teach that ignorance but sheesh. It's like when I go to the mall and some of the teens think they are so cool because they know how to say the F word 15 times in a small sentence. i really just don't get it.

I agree! they have those gages in their ears, and smoke, and do drugs. I was at the mall a while ago and these teens were saying " f*** those girls, they dont F***ing know what they are missing, they are probably going out with S***heads, F*** them." I was about to yell at them because I have young kids with me... some people... UGH!!!
I curse when I talk like in normal conversation..but I rarely ever use the f-word unless I am angry...then its like nothing but the f-word. I think it looks awful to hear a woman use the f-word in plain conversation like its nothing.
Yeah that's exactly what I mean. I have slipped and said S**T or something when I stub a toe or something but I am really working on it but I just don't understand why people can't just have a normal converstation "normally" without inappropriate words every 5 sec.

My husband and I have this problem. ):`
He left for the army and came back with a horrible potty mouth. It's rubbed off on me. I have never thought curse words were a big deal at all, I think it's stupid to give random words so much power when other "okay" words mean the exact same thing.
The only exception is the F bomb. It is so horrible to hear that come out of a two year old's mouth. We're working on our language, but it's hard and we slip sometimes. We've started replacing every foul word with the word "jingles" (lol, from the tinkerbell movie, it's a fairy curse word).
If one of us slips up, we'll repeat what was said like "What the what?" and the other will backtrack and correct themselves saying "What the jingle". It's silly but it's helping. We aren't ignorant people, I don't think... I mean we're not the classiest bunch, but we're certainly capable of intelligent conversation. It's just that foul language becomes such a habit and it's hard to break it.

haha sounds like your talking about my little brother... thats the only word he knows and the really sad part is I won't talk to him if he uses the "f"word so when he is talking to me he doesn't cuss... it might slip from time to time but when he talks to my mom thats all he says and then she bitches to me about it. I told her that I didn't talk to him for 6 months because I was sick of it and finally he stopped so maybe she ought to do the same thing... but thats her baby.
Well you know I am by no means perfect but I really try to watch words like F**K, S**T, B**TH etc. I just don't want my son to tell me one day one of those words. There are times where I will say something like "oh crap" or "dammit" but like I said, we are trying to work on it.
I can understand trying to break the habit but I don't understand why some people think that being able to drop the f bomb 50 times in a normal coverstation is "cool" YKWIM?
Honestly, I mostly notice from the younger crowd but I am only 20 so they are not that much younger.

Ugh! I was JUST thinking about this earlier today! I took my son to a friend's b-day party last night and I was talking with a couple other moms. One of them thought she's misunderstood something and said "F***!!" Really loud. Just then my son and another kid came around the corner. This was a KID'S birthday party and a MOM was talking! That really bothered me!
