I know one Christmas we did everything credit and are almost done paying it off(will never d that again), now we just save money in the last few months of the year so that we can have a pretty nice Christmas. So what do you do, and I made a poll so no one has to know.

Thankfully we do not have to save for it. We just shop and get whatever we want. We are not going crazy this year b/c our kids have too much junk. They also get alot of junk b/c both of their b-days are near Christmas, so it's def. present over load around December.

Our holiday is more about family and less about gift giving

Usually around september we will start putting aways a couple checks.

But we were just talking today that in December we will start one of those xmas clubs where they hold money for you. We're thinking $50 a week. Now that the kids are getting older...its starting to cost a lot more.

We start buying early so I guess you could kind of say that we save, but not really.  We just buy a few things here and there.  Next year we will probably do a Christmas Club.  We don't have any credit cards so that is never an option for us.  This year I started browsing in August and made my first purchases the first week of September.  Hopefully we will have all of our shopping done by Thanksgiving (unless we find a few things we think someone "needs" and it is a good deal) then we will start on shopping for our daughter's birthday (February 1).

Normally Dh sells back 40 hours of vacation time.  This year I will just be putting slightly less into the savings account.

I chose other because I start super early and get something here and there over a six month period so it doesn't break the bank.
