About 1 million strollers are being recalled after several children had their fingertips cut off.

Maclaren USA said kids can have their fingers cut off by a hinge on some of its strollers.

There were 12 reports of children losing the tips of their fingers in the strollers, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said in its recall announcement

The recalled models included Volo, Triumph, Quest Sport, Quest Mod, Techno XT, TechnoXLR, Twin Triumph, Twin Techno and Easy Traveller.

They were sold throughout the country from 1999 to November 2009.

Parents should stop using the stollers and contact Maclaren at 877-688-2326 for a free repair kit.
