there are three different fees you need to be familiar with to list on ebay:

1.  listing fee - this is the fee ebay charges you to list your ad.  you have to pay this whether your item sells or not.  it's based on what options you chose for your listing - multiple pictures, starting price, "buy it now" or not, etc.

2.  final value fee - this is the fee ebay charges when you sell your item.  it is a percentage of the sale price, and you can find the schedule in the help section.

3.  paypal fee - this is the charge paypal charges you for using their service.  and it is my understanding that ebay now forces you to take paypal, and you cannot specify bank transfer or credit card.  you also have to upgrade your paypal account to a merchant account in order to accept payments via credit card.

good luck - I personally would hold off on listing on ebay for a while, sales are way down due to the economy.

depending on what you are trying to sell there are groups on here that you can also sell stuff in. You could also try that.

I've sold everything I've listed except for one item...

I hate EBay and wish there was an easier way to sell. They sure make bank off of everyone's sales. I've only sold like 20 things and have paid about 100 bucks. Granted, most of those were over $50 items but still. *Sigh* Whatever lol.
