How long is expressed breastmilk good for?

I'm confused. The booklet that came with my breastpump says 5-7 days but the stickers I got when DS was in the NICU says 48 hours. So which one is right? It's stored in the refrigerator, not the freezer.

Crap. I'm a day late. At least it's only a couple ounces wasted...

According to the magnet i got with my hospital grade pump: 4 hours at room temp, 5 days in the fridge, 3 months in a regular freezer, and 6 month+ in a deep freeze. That is what my daughters pediatrician said as well, and what i have been going by for the lst 4 months and my daughter hasn't had any issues

What is the difference between a regular freezer and a deep freezer?

regular freezer is attached to your refrigerator, gets opened up a million times a day.  The deep freezer is just a freezer in the garage and gets opened once a week.
