Cafemom to donate $1000 for 1000 members (pg 11 for my reason)

Cafemom and Glad(R) joined together to pick 25 members to host a bake sale for Cookies for Kids' Cancer.

Cafemom also decided

CafeMom will donate $1.00 to the Cookies for Kids Cancer foundation for each of the first 1,000 moms who join this group by 12/31/09 and participate by making a post or joining a discussion.

That means if we can get 1,000 CafeMoms to join this group and rally around the cause, CafeMom will donate $1,000 to Cookies for Kids Cancer.

Spread the word and get your friends to join the group.

The group is only 241 members strong....we need lots more to join to reach the goal of 1,000 members....

 Ok so this really sucks and I'm really starting to think that pretty much everyone is so self centered b/c I've been busting my ass trying to get a bake sale going for this b/c I was asked to by Cafemom.  I thought ok great idea and was honored to do so since I've been all for childhood cancer awareness.  But it seems that everyone is too caught up in themselves to even take a few mins of their time to help me out with the bake sale let alone get some members for a group that could give $1,000 to the cause.

I'm so dissappointed that all my hard work means pretty much nothing b/c it seems that I shouldn't even bother finishing the bake sale b/c no one will be bothered with showing up.
