Question: Did your epidural make you sleepy?

Options:

No I was just numb but fully awake and totally aware

Yes but I also had other meds so they may have been the reason I was sleepy

The epi didnt make me sleepy I had a long labor and I went to sleep on my own

No, not at all. An epi doesn't effect you in that way.

I've had an epi 3 different times (3 different labors) and never did they make me sleepy!  Actually I became wide awake after getting it and felt so much better and enjoyed my labor from then on.  I can never sleep during labor anyways.  Doesn't matter if I have an epi or not.  I just had a baby 3 weeks ago and I went into the hospital at 9pm and had my LO at 11:52am.  I only slept maybe 30 minutes.  I was really tired but I could't sleep for anything.  Plus it wasn't my bed.  Also with nurses coming and going they don't let you sleep much either.

I only got an epi with my first. I was in labor for 10hours prior to getting the epi and I slept for an hour after it kicked in.
