I don't know what is wrong with my 3yo daughter Alexis. All she does is cries. She knows how to talk, but instead of talking, she cries. I'm not overexaggerating calling whining a cry, she litteraly cries. she also will kind of mope around, doesn't really play too much. she just seems very sad. and when I ask her anything she says she's okay and that she's happy. but idk... have you gone through thisw?

I have no idea, that's just how she is acting, like a depressed adult would act. I've tried taking her to the park but she doesn't play, she just sits there.

wow thats sad.  does she play with u??

If it were me I would def be talking to her pediatrician.... My daughter (ALEXIS, lol) witnessed someone dieing.. in a horrible horrible way.. and I was very worried this would scar her for life.. and we talked and talked and talked about this.. and now.. almost 2 years later she hasnt said a word about it.. and I dont wanna ask her if she remembers it, but I think talking about it helped a lot...

Have there been any traumatic events in her life in the last 6 months to a year? Has she had any health issues?

No, nothing. I mean she started school, and was loving it. but recently she just seems so down. She hasn't been sick in a long time, Nothing tramatic. I really seriously don't know what could be wrong

Somebody has been picking on her at school and she doesn't want to talk about it. It doesn't have to necessarily be vicious teasing either. My daughter went through something similiar because she is naturally a quiet child and the teacher wasn't chosing her or praising her. The other kids weren't playing with her. No one meant to single her out but it made her feel inadequate. A three year is going to have a hard time knowing how to talk about that. You may want to discuss with her teacher how she has changed and find out what is going on in school.

yeah. could be. I mean I ask her how her day went and everything, and she says good, and tells me what she did and all that. She's normally not a very quiet child, she's very outgoing and loud, and happy. until the past month I would say, now she just cries about everything. Friday was her last day at that school though, so hopefully if that was the reason, it'll stop.
