swollen face and rash

So yesterday, my dd, 7, was complaining that her chin itched.  I looked and her neck and chin were sort of splotchy looking, so I gave her a dose of benedryl.  Gave her more benedryl last night when she was complaining about it again.  Well now this morning, her WHOLE face is red (looks like she got sunburned!) and SWOLLEN, as is her neck!  The pediatrican's office doesn't open until 8:30-but it's freaking me out.  My dd who is 1 has had breathing issues all weekend and my dh had 2 asthma attacks this week--he hasn't had any attacks in YEARS!  I'm wondering if there's something in the air or our house that is causing some allergic reactions in everyone!

Craziness!! Anyone have any ideas what might cause dd's face to swell up?  We haven't changed anything in diet/detergents, etc.

Do you have pets that go outside and could have brought something in?

Do you not have pets and someone in your house went somewhere and brought home clothing with pet hairs on them?

Have you started a humidifier or vaporizer?

Have you changed any other cleaners (kitchen, bathroom, dusting, etc.)?

Did you eat out and they could have changed ingredients?

hmmm, we DID have pizza from Little Cesar's Saturday, which we haven't had in a LONG time.  But that's all I can think of.....

Sounds like bad case of the hives. My 14 yr old ended up in the hospital with them when he was 6. I'd get to the doctor as soon as possible!

Oh I thought of something else.

Did just turn on your heat or start a space heater, or fire place?
