We all complain that the U.S. has one of the highest C-section rate in the world, but have we bothered to look at other countries, for example:
According the WHO (World Health Organization) the C-Section rate should only be around 10% to 15% in some countries that percentage is double:
Dominican Republic: 44.3%
Puerto Rico: 49%
Brazil: 44.2%
Mexico: 37.8%
U.S: 33% as of 2008
Iran: 50%
Why is that?

In a lot of this countries the c-section rate is higher because women think that having a vaginal birth is barbaric and is going to change the look of things (down south) also some doctors like in Iran are not educating their patients about the consequences of c-section and are actually telling women that their babies will be smarter if they are born by c-section.
