saw this from another post as reasoning why someone is gay..

I feel that homosexuality is a cop out as a result of other issues.  be it family issues, incest, rape, self esteem.

what do you think?

And if you dont like that i stole it from another post don't post it/ or make the group private so no one can see.

Really wow...ya, so my godbrother (who i love to death, have known my whole life), who had a mom, a dad and a (near) perfect home life, is using his homosexuality as a excuse for....?

Like saying its a choice - I'd like all those who think being homosexual is choice to tell me the date they DECIDED to be heterosexual please. 

Or like saying those that are transgendered are "confused" and just to do more "gender appropriate" things - couldn't possibly be that we don't fully understand the human brain and that the brain can develop with a different gender identity than the physical body.

I think certain bisexuals tend to indulge in a homosexual lifestyle as a result of their past sometimes, but most of the time, people who have embraced their sexuality are simply being true to themselves, and not letting anything define them but...them.

Ditto, one of my husbands and my closest friends, is female, she was born a male. I would never call her a dude. She thinks of herself as a woman. Ive had talks with her and she didn't CHOSE this. She always felt out of place as a child and made the transition as soon as she could. SHe is a GREAT person and I love HER to death. My uncle is gay and I have gay friends, they are all great people. They didnt just wake up one day and say hey....my mom died im gonna be gay or somehting stupid.

If people would just stop being so effin ignorant this world would be a way better place!
