My sister is pregnant with her first little one & I'm trying to decide what to get her for Christmas. She due in June, so she's not that far along & doesn't know if she's having a boy or a girl.
So what are some things that you would like for Christmas? It can be for you or for your baby. Any ideas would be great. Thanks:)
FOR BABY
Diapers...Newborn and Size 1 (since you never know how big the baby will be until it's here, they might skip right over the Newborn diapers)
Wipes
Plain white onesies, you can never have enough of those.
Boppy pillow
Baby socks
FOR MOMMY
Gift certificate for a prenatal massage (I'm planning to get on later in my pregnancy, I've heard they're great)
I don't really have many suggestions on what to get for the mommy, when I was pregnant with DS I just wanted stuff for him, and same with this baby.
A massage gift certificate or a pedicure gift certificate. That's what I want anyway...lol. I am 24 weeks due in March.
Especially in the third trimester I have loved comfy clothes, and PJs. It seems like nothing fits, and putting on something comfortable feels so good. The fleece lounge wear from Old Navy is nice, and any cute PJs, or comfy slippers. I am not big on massages personally, but I know a lot of pregnant women say pre-natal massage feels great.
I am assuming she will be getting a baby shower closer to her due date....so for christmas, I wouldnt really get her anything FOR the baby, but more things for her to "pamper" herself throughout the pregnancy....like a gift certificate for a massage, pedicure....something like that. Also, body pillows (as PP's have suggested), its for her, but not the baby.....
I would refrain from body sprays and lotions that are strongly scented...just because it might not go over well with the baby(the smells may make her sick.....) or a DVD set she will enjoy while in the hospital, maybe a book for her to read in the hospital....some comfy PJ's....or maternity clothes(or gift certificate to get some).....or a maternity gown (I hate the hospital gowns, so bringing one makes it more comfy).....
On a more creative level: you could make her a present also....like a coupon book(kinda cheesy, i know...but will be appreciated) like "coupons" for babysitting once the baby comes....
