The AAP recommendation has been changed for some time to recommend keeping children rearfacing to two years old and 30lbs.  The law has been slow to follow and one of the biggest reasons has been the arguement that parents wouldn't follow it anyway so whats the point.  So if the law changed to a minimum of 2 years old or 30lbs would you follow it.

I don't care what you are doing now or what you did with your other kids.  I just want to know if the law said so would you follow it?

yes I would :) then again I am a firm believer that anyone seen with a child under 1 in a forward facing carseat (where there are laws in place) needs to pay a hefty fine.

I try to follow whatever the law says.  The only way I wouldn't follow it is if I felt the changes in the law put my child in MORE danger.

Well I already plan to do it with my youngest who is 16 months.. However how is this even a question if the LAW changes EVERYONE should follow it!!

I can't believe there are people out there that don't think laws are for a reason and should be followed.. I have seen this problem with the current car seat laws..

Yup... we did it anyway lol, but even if we didn't I would still follow the law. Now if the law changed and said that we had to turn our kids forward sooner than is safe (no idea why they would but lets just say they did) then I would not follow it... but barring something like that there really isn't an excuse not too.

First of all....Duh, if it's the law...lol.  I know some people still wouldn't which is sad.

Second, I remember this exact poll a couple months ago...I wonder if the arguments will be the same.

Third...I already plan on RF as long as I can...I'm still kind of trying to convince DH.  He thinks she's already uncomfy, and will become even more so.  Except she always falls asleep sooo...he's not gonna win!
