We just switched Tara to whole milk. The last two days when she poops she SCREAMS her head off! Like its hurting her so bad!! Did anyone else go threw this??? She was on Soy formula because when she was an infant she spit up alot so thats why the docs put her on soy. ( They never thought she had a milk allergy)
This is awful!! Shes screaming in pain at this very moment and I have no idea what to do for her!!

For whatever reason, my son couldn't tolerate milk when he turned 1. He had tummy aches and would throw it up every time he drank it. My doctor told me to put him back on formula for a few more months and then try again. He was on formula for about 3 more months and then we tried milk again and everything was fine. He could tolerate it. I have no clue why, but a few months made a big difference for my son.
Well, firstly you should stop giving her whole milk and stick to soy milk. Her digestive system is going through a shock, of sorts, due to the switch. I'd say you should call her pediatritian and see what you can give her to help with the pain. They may want to see her or they may suggest an urgent care visit.
My son had an allergy to apple juice. My husband gave him some a few days after we were told NOT to give him apple juice. My son was crying/screaming for hours. We were told to give him a teaspoon of pepto (he was a year old) and to get him to drink as much water as possible to flush out his system. Do Not give pepto to your daughter unless told to do so by your own doctor.
I've heard of alot of mom's doing this, my dr said not to, it's really bad, and it dilutes the nutrients or something like that?
try giving her milk in the morning and after naps give her a cup of apple juice, then milk again. i still do this with my dd, she had bad problems with her pooping since she was born, she was also on soy. has always worked for us. if all else fails call your dr.

A lot of babies have this happen when you switch them. Try half formula/half milk for now or switch to soy milk.

Is she screaming cuz the poop is burning her skin or is she getting constipated?
Constipated. Shes pushing so hard!

I agree with matswife2023 that you should to half and half or even 3/4 and 1/4 and ease into. My daughter switched to milk very easily but I did the switch gradual any way. I used breast milk and milk combo until I was sure she was ready for milk all the way. Good luck, I hope your baby feels better.
Add more water and fiber (prunes, apples, etc...) to her diet. If she doesn't have an allergy I think she probably needs the nutrients of the whole milk.

Ok, my kid w/allergies gets the screaming hot poops and cries and my other gets bound up and cries. Poor kids, it's always something. My constipator gets prune juice everyday to keep her regular. When she was little I fed her the prune baby food packs, one per day kept her going and kept the stool soft. Hth's
