Ok back story I have been sick sense Aug. I was sent to a GI specialiest due to throwing up and having the runs all the time. I had/have pain right under my rib cage. They did an upper and lower GI found nothing. Doctor ordered more blood test. Nothing stood out other then I was exposed to mono. An he said you have mono never explained that 90% of adults have been exposed or had mono in one shape or another.

A week and a half ago I go in as I had/have a bump on my the back of my left ear lobe. I couldn't see my normal PMC they had me see this new doc in the clinic. An WOW this man most be touched with saint hood or some thing. His views are costomer is always right and will look at the worst and work to the good. He had me do more blood work.

This man has no care of what the military will or will not pay for if he wants you tested for some thing it gets done.

Today, I went back for my results. He goes over the results and then he turns to me before reading the last result and askes have you had hair falling our and do you have any kind of rash. I said yes to the hair falling out part of the reason I cut all my hair off. I slide my jacket off and show him the rash on my elbow.

He then tells me ma'am you have Lupus. Yes, this is scary but what a fresh breath of air. For a long time now I thought I was dying. I was prepairing every day and living every day like it was my last day. I have wrote notes to my kids and husband in note books every night before bed.

So ladies who have seen my post about my illness thank you because I did bring up Lupus to the other doctor and he said nope can't be. I brought it up to this doctor day one and he ran the test.

I start seeing my new specialist in the next few weeks.

The rash is on my left elbow and looks like a grey spot with a pink out line is what DH says I can feel it but I can not see it. Seeing your elbow is not easy. I try a lot

I'm so sorry to hear that! Be brave! Lupus runs in my family and I've seen it at it worse and best and you can keep it managed with a good program! Think of all the good things in your life and I wish you the best of luck!

hugs

I honestly don't know much about Lupus other then what I have found online I scared shitless but I know if I do what the doctors say and keep my head up things will be ok. At lease I know now I am not dying when I go to bed tonight.

Wow, you are a very strong woman.   I wish you many of God's blessings, and send prayers your way.

I also hope that "Dr." that dismissed your concern when you first expressed it seriously thinks about what he did, because that is called MALPRACTICE!   He failed to provide testing and care when you had a legitimate concern, causing further suffering... when you could have been getting treatment all this time.   It sounds like you described symptoms on CM and were diagnosed by people who weren't medical professionals.   That burns my biscuits!

Hugs!

Bupkie.....

*** My philosophy on sharing info is that it's just free info (not advice) so please take it or leave it. If it fits great! If not, leave it on the ground and dance on it for fun!!! :) ***dancing

I am looking into malpractice on the GI specialist and the other doctors I have seen with in the clinic but first I need to get healthy and learn how to avoid flairs at all cost. I am tired of being tired and I am tired of being in pain.

Yeah I am happy I found some one finally but now I have to figure things out. Stress is my big problem which till after Aug. 13th, 2010 I will be a bit stressed but I am going to learn to leave that stress with DH because at this time I know I can't work at lease can't work a lot and I know that I will have to watch my diet and life style.
