Typically I'm the saver, he's the spender.  However, he has started to become a saver.  It's been 7 years of me working on him, and it's FINALLY starting to be!  I almost giggle to myself when he whines about something being expensive - like the other day he stopped and picked up a few things at the store, one of them being hamburger buns....he said, and I quote "we better eat all of those buns because they were expensive.  They were $3."

I would've answered other...we dont really have any money to save...but I think I'm more responsible with the money we have. But I also still love to shop. BUT I rarely spend cash. Somehow, some way I always end up with gift cards, Kohls cash, etc. If I don't have that, I won't shop. Or if I do it's a very small amount of money. My fiance on the other hand, I'm about ready to kill. Lately he's been spending money like CRAZY and we can't frickin pay the damn bills. UGH. Sorry. Not my post to vent in, I'm just so damn mad right now.

we save a set amount each week.

we both get a set amount each week to spend on recreational things.

big purchases, we discuss and buy together.

if you are one of those overly annoying people, who seem to get offended over every little thing, and like to pull out the "judgemental" card....please, do not quote me.  i don't pay attention to stupid and i do not deal with whiners.

get yourself a tissue, grow up, and move on.  and have a great day.  :-)

I put on the poll we have no money to spend...or save, EVER, lol. I'm the saver, he's the spender...I have to remind him we're on a VERY tight budget that DOES NOT allow for his stupid $60 video games, lol.

If you were to ask my DH he;s say I'm a spender, lol. But I'm really not. DH just doesn't understand how and when to buy things to save money. He thinks I am spending it, when in actuallity I am saving by buying it on sale.

Anyway, we both try to save as much as we can, but DH is a huge saver. He socks away $1000 a month into the girls savings accounts and gets peeved if I want to take a trip into the city as a family. Wierdo.

My husband is definitely the financial brain of our family ~ he is the reason we live without any debt.  Paid off both of our school loans, the cars, and the mortgage.  We have been married for 13 years.  Gotta love him!
