Ok so my husband and i separated kinda (he had to go OOT to work anyways so we had a little separation thing) for 6 weeks, and reevaluated our marriage and all that good stuff...well he came home wanting to wear his wedding ring and kind of re-commit himself to us and all that jazz...well he has this horrible memory (see what smokin the gange will do to ya lmao <totally a joke>) and doesnt wear it at home, but forgets to put it on to go to work...so we know this guy who does tats, and will tat his ring on his finger for free...well he called to tell me this today i kind of had an anxiety attack...now im not completly against it, but my immediate reaction was 'NO' and i really dont know why...i told him the only way he could get used to his ring is if he wore it and didnt take it off...but im just not sure...the guy says he can do an exact replica but it wont be the same KWIM?? Any opinons, thoughts etc?

I really do not like the way tatooed rings look so i would not want my hubby to get one. Also when you think about it wedding rings don't matter it's the marriage that counts. Dh doesn't have a weeding ring and neither do I. Anywhoo if your first instinct was NO maybe you should tell your hubby you just don't like the way it looks. Also if only one of you has a tatted ring then it seems a litttle weird. If you are going to do it you both should have them.

See thas the thing, i really dont like the way it looks...he hasnt ever really worn his ring because hes an electrician, but has been doin framing for like 6 months or so since he got laid off...and i wont get a tat anywhere lol, i hate needles

golly, I don't know. I think that would be a little weird. On the bright side, he seems like he's really committed to making the marriage work.

How about a non-conducting ring? They make rings from obsidian and other stones.
We looked when we got married...i may go look again, but they didnt have any at WM, KM, Penneys or Zales 2 years ago...maybe ill browse the site...im sure if they have it online, they will prolly be able to order it

Well maybe the compermise could be that he get's the ring tat but it's thinner then his normal ring, so when you guys go out or do something formal he get put on his other ring over the tat.
