these are the names on our list:
boy:
Kenshin [my favorite, boyfriend's idea]
Makoto
Hiroshi
Negi [hate this, boyfriend's idea]
Kenji [kinda don't like this, also boyfriend's idea]
no matter what his middle name will be Chang, boyfriend's middle name.
girl:
Chihiro [my favorite]
Akasuki
Haruko [eh, it's ok]
Kikio [boyfriend likes this]
Mae-Ling
Sakura [hate this, boyfriend's idea]
Sakiko
Suchin [i liked this for a while but it's starting to sound like suture]
so right now i'm leaning towards Kenshin Chang or Chihiro Kai.
what do you think?
Why dont do one american and one asian name?My asian friend hates that shes the only kid in her family without an american name,,,Her name Sunninary.
From your choice I like Kenshin and Sakiko.
My twinkie's name is Riley Jin

My husband is Korean and we are giving our child his family name of Lee for the middle name. Most of the names you listed sound more Japenese to me. Correct me if I'm wrong. :)
My MIL's family is all like Tae-jin, Son, Sonyung, Son Oak, etc. I havent heard sounds in Korean that sound like Hiroshi.
I know it's a fish, but I met a little Asian girl the other day named Koi. I think that is a beautiful name and it could be for a boy or a girl.
If I had a little Asian baby, I'd name it Koi.
I've also heard Kia (pronounced K-eye-ah) but I think that sounds only like a girl's name.
Sorry I'm not more help. :(

I babysit a vietmanese child and her name is Malisa..pronouced just like it looks...Ma Lisa...her sister's name is Palena.. I love Malisa's name.. Good luck...
ahh gotcha. My MIL would pitch a fit if we did that LOL. I like the name Suki or Akiko for a girl. There's also a more american name that kinda sounds asian, Char-lee.
Quoting mommy2alexi:
yeah, most are Japanese. we're not shooting for anything necessarily Korean, just Asian.
