bf vs bottle

curious of how many moms "chose" to not breastfeed and why! I see less and less moms bf, literally never nursed even in the hospital. Not bashing but jst curious why. Babies in the first week dont even need much, only about a tsp of colostrum every 2 hours instead of 4 oz of milk they dont need. Do these babies get sick easy or are much fussier?

BTW not talking about moms with serious medical conditions

I bf for about two weeks, then nothing... I just started drying up.  I tried to pump, and id literally bleed. It was so upsetting and I still feel so disappointed that I couldn't.  I will def try again next time, and I feel more confident that it will work next time.

I wanted to BF so bad.  My son had latching on problems from the beginning and would only latch on with a shield.  There was no LC here in my town to help me :(  I also got traumatized and scared into FF when DS was 3 days old because, he had jaundice and the nurse told me that his levels were so high that he could have brain damage or die.  NOT what I needed to hear.  I was already worried enough about him.  When I have my next one, I am DETERMINED to BF.

unless u cant, pumping is a good way to keep a good milk flow, a
nd worse come to worse you can invest in a good pump and give breast milk via bottle. drinking lots of water and homade soups helps the milk flow to. spending even 400 dollars on a good pump is cheater then buying formula for a whole year and the baby can get good nourishment. just in case you have another
