I guess I thought booster seats were a federal law....
I've seen a lot of ladies talk about they don't know whether their kids should be in booster seats. We have a law that says your kids have to be in booster seats until they're 8 years old. I think it's stupid, it should be based on height and/or weight, because I've seen some BIG 8 year olds! Anyhow, does your state not have a law like this? Do you think it should? And if it doesn't, what is the age/height/weight limit where they can just wear a plain old seatbelt?
Hmm... I thought the law was 40 pounds or 40 inches

I just looked it up as of Nov. 24 2009 yes it's law for a child to be in a booster until their 8th birthday BUT if your child is 4'9" and 100# they can be in the back with the seat belt on.
