If you couldn't afford a wedding- You shouldn't have gotten married..
No I am kidding!!
I just wanted to know if everyone that eloped HAD A JUDGE??
My Husband and I went to the Clerk and Recording office and signed some papers... NO JUDGE, NO WITNESS and NO VOWS!!
I was just wondering how things went for you all??
Erica--- It cost about $25. We were just really young and crazy, he had just graduated high school 5 weeks earlier ( which is how I met him) and I still had a year of high school to do:-) Every one assumed we were pregnant and just knew we would divorce- Neither are true...

I read the title and thought to myself "no, if you couldn't afford the divorce then you shouldn't have gotten married" LOL
We went to the county courthouse. I REGRET it.
Normally you'd think they'd put in a little private room and do the whole thing there. Nope, not for us. We stood in the HALLWAY with random people walking by. The Justice of the Peace stood behind the administration desk, with the 2 receptionists right there as well. We had our witnesses, but honestly, I HATED the entire experience and I wish we could've just had a real wedding.
We wanted to do a wedding but we didnt, we just woke up one morning and said lets get married and thats what we did. We went to the court house in Ky (I live in Indiana) paid 40.00 and got married. My dad was our witness and that was that.

I'm all about vaccinations, pro-choice, public schools, anti spanking, firm believer in a non-universal health care, breast-feeding, march of dimes, anti-daycare, tattoos, circumcising, and the work of unions. I'm a mother to a beautiful boy who was born at 3 months early, as well as a SHAM! And a wife to a communication worker!
We had a judge but did't elope either my mom and dad paid for our wedding dh bought my dress ring and booze.Mom paid for food and decorations and did the planning and dad paid for the judge.
I'm a married to a disabled vet, natural birthing, breast feeding, co-sleeping, vaccinating, , montissori schooling, cloth diapering kinda mom. I'm pro-choice, democratic, trying to find faith, and all for world peace. So, now that we got that outta the way...it's nice to meet you!
